GST Invoicing in Excel — Branded, Hindi/English, WhatsApp
Ankeshan's Invoicing module lets you raise professional, GST-compliant, branded invoices straight from Excel — in Hindi or English — and share them to WhatsApp in a single tap. A fast, keyboard-driven counter mode handles busy retail billing, UPI QR codes get you paid quicker, and every invoice flows automatically into your books, stock, and GST returns.
Ankeshan adds this inside the Excel you already use — nothing new to learn, nothing leaves your PC.
What it does
- Creates GST-compliant invoices with every mandatory field — sequential invoice number, supplier and buyer GSTIN, place of supply, HSN/SAC per line, CGST/SGST or IGST breakup, total in words, and signature.
- Applies branded templates from your business profile — logo, brand colours, custom footer and terms — with multiple saveable layouts (Retail, Wholesale, Service) to pick per invoice.
- Calculates GST automatically — CGST/SGST or IGST based on place of supply, including cess where it applies.
- Shares to WhatsApp in one tap — generates the PDF, opens WhatsApp, attaches the file, and pre-fills the customer's number.
- Sends by email over SMTP, and puts a UPI payment QR code on the invoice for instant payment.
- Auto-numbers per financial year in your own format, e.g.
INV/2026-27/0001. - Handles every document type — Tax Invoice, Bill of Supply (composition), Proforma, Quotation/Estimate, Delivery Challan, Credit Note, Debit Note, and Receipt.
- Runs a fast counter mode — full-screen, keyboard shortcuts (F2 add item, F4 customer, F6 payment, F9 print, F12 save+new), product search, USB barcode scanner support, and quick Cash/UPI/Card/Credit/Mixed payment.
- Manages recurring invoices, item- and invoice-level discounts, multi-rate line items, and multi-currency billing for exporters.
- Generates offline e-invoice JSON for businesses over the threshold, and marks Reverse Charge clearly where it applies.
- Flows into other modules — each invoice posts journal entries to Books and reduces stock in Inventory.
How it works in Excel
You set up your business profile once — logo, GSTIN, address, footer, and a template or two. From then on, raising an invoice is a matter of picking the customer and adding line items; Ankeshan pulls the HSN and rate, computes the tax by place of supply, and lays out a clean PDF with your branding. Hit share and it's on WhatsApp; hit save and it's in your books and your stock is updated.
For a shop counter, the keyboard-driven mode is built for speed — scan a barcode, take payment, print, and start the next bill without touching the mouse. Because it all runs locally, peak-hour billing doesn't stall when the internet does.
Who it's for
This module suits retailers who bill at a counter, wholesalers and distributors raising B2B tax invoices, and service businesses sending quotations and proformas. It's ideal if you want invoices that look professional and branded, need to share on WhatsApp the way your customers expect, and want billing that quietly keeps your stock and books in sync.
Good to know
- WhatsApp share opens WhatsApp for you. Ankeshan prepares the message, PDF, and number; you tap send — so you always see what goes out.
- E-invoice is offline in v1. For businesses above the threshold, Ankeshan produces valid IRP JSON to upload; live one-click IRN is a planned add-on.
- Sequential numbering matters. Ankeshan keeps your invoice series unique per financial year; cancelled invoices leave a tracked gap rather than being silently reused.
- Offline and fast. Billing runs on your PC, so counter speed never depends on connectivity.
